The Chester Beatty (CB) contains a world famous collection of manuscripts, prints, miniature paintings, early printed books and objets d’art from countries across Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe. The Collection is principally focused on the written word and its associated painted and printed images.
One of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions, the Chester Beatty is a public charitable trust established under the will of the late Sir Alfred Chester Beatty and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Employees are employed by the Trustees of the Library, but as CB is just over 80% funded by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, it is also a registered Public Sector Body.
Temporary Visitor Services Officer – 5 month Fixed Term Contract at the Chester Beatty, Dublin
The Chester Beatty is pleased to offer a 5 month fixed term contract for a Visitor Services Officer.
Key areas of responsibility include: providing a visible security presence, invigilating within the galleries and public spaces of the museum, acting as brand ambassadors, proactively assisting visitors and contributing to a positive visitor experience.
The position demands the highest standards of responsibility, integrity and courtesy.
The salary is €24,104 per annum, pro-rata.
