Judaism
Judaism is the oldest of the three Abrahamic religions. The Torah (Five Books of Moses or Pentateuch) is the central book of Judaism. It has inspired a range of other writings on law and philosophy among other subjects. Chester Beatty acquired a small collection of Hebrew texts in the 1930s and 1940s, particularly 18th and 19th century Esther and Torah scrolls, as well as a number of medieval illuminated manuscripts.
