Inspire Learning at the Chester Beatty
Booking School Tours
All school groups must book in advance to avoid disappointment.
A minimum of three weeks’ notice is required for guided tours and a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for self-guided visits.
The Chester Beatty is situated in the heart of the city centre, within the historic grounds of Dublin Castle. We are a two-minute walk from Dame Street (via the Palace Street Gate of the Castle) and close to Christchurch Cathedral (enter via the Ship Street Gate of the Castle).
We do not have parking available for school buses. However if you require special needs access please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
There currently is no lunch room available for schools.
For visitors with reduced mobility, the most suitable entrance is via the Ship St Gate of Dublin Castle, as it is the closest entrance to the Chester Beatty. If you are coming by car and you have a Disabled Person’s Parking Permit or Card, you will be permitted access to the grounds of the Castle, via the Ship Street entrance. The nearest public car park is Christchurch Carpark
The Chester Beatty is a wheelchair/buggy-friendly building, with wheelchairs available free of charge.
The lecture theatre is fitted with a loop system and visitors with guide or service dogs are welcome.
If you have any additional questions or require special needs access please contact us directly at email@example.com

We request that all schools adhere to the Chester Beatty’s Code of Conduct for Tours and Child Protection Policy when visiting the museum. All children must be supervised by their teachers during their visit at all times.
