Conservation and Craft; Learning through Book Structures
Current Heritage Council Intern in Conservation, Sophie Coulthard, will talk about the condition and treatment of three manuscripts from the Chester Beatty collection – an Indian manuscript, Syriac manuscript, and Persian manuscript. She will discuss what can be learned from close examination of materials and structure and some of the ethical considerations that go into treating original manuscript material.
Free, no booking required.
