Have you seen Chester Beatty’s copy of the Mustard Seed Manual? It is a how-to book for Chinese landscape painting from the early Qing dynasty. It includes teaching materials and techniques on the topic, from hills and mountains, to grass, insects and birds, to people and houses. Follow artist Heather Gray and draw or paint a bird inspired by this very famous art book.
This activity has been organised to highlight National Heritage Week.
You will have access to the video here on Sunday 23 August.
