Tiles were introduced to the Persian Empire in the 11th century and became an inherit part of Iranian heritage. Brightly coloured patterns are typically decorated with floral motifs, arabesques and geometric shapes. Roxana Manouchehri will guide you in designing and painting a ceramic tile. Inspired by the Islamic manuscripts found in the ‘Gift of a Lifetime’ exhibition, this workshop has been organised to celebrate Nowruz.
Limited to 15 participants, materials provided.
