To Be Irish: Online Winter Storytelling with Róisín Murphy

What does it mean to be Irish at Christmas? For many people it is a celebration of family, friends and connecting with those we have missed throughout the year. This year we want to help you connect with those you miss most, perhaps they are across the seas, in the next county or shielding and so perhaps you cannot get together this festive season as you normally would.

The long evenings are a perfect time for some tales and fables. Meet storyteller Róisín Murphy and delve into much-loved winter stories that have been passed down through the generations, from countries all over the world. Róisín will introduce us to Ivan and Maire, and their daughter Snowflake.

The video will be available here to watch from the 21st – 31st of December
