Facilities & Security Manager
Currently, Chester Beatty is looking for an energetic individual to come on board as the Facilities & Security Manager who will have overall management and responsibility for the security, safety, buildings and facilities of the Chester Beatty. They will form part of a small but dynamic team with the flexibility to adapt to Chester Beatty’s constantly changing environment and will be a member of the management team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within Soft Services facilities management, with particular focus on experience in security management. Due to the nature of this position, and the priceless collection housed at the Chester Beatty, strong security experience is essential to the role. The candidate will also be managing all the facilities on site, so contractor management will be another key part of this position to keep the Chester Beatty operating day to day. Outside of the security & facilities responsibilities, they will be managing a team of 13 Visitor Services staff who will assist with facilities duties.

Head of Conservation
As Head of Conservation, you will join the Chester Beatty, one of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions located in the heart of Dublin City. This is an exciting opportunity, as you will lead the conservation team at the Chester Beatty, responsible for the development and operation of the conservation studio as well as having an active role in the conservation of collection objects.
As the successful candidate you will ideally have recent relevant experience with at least 5 years’ experience in a conservation role at supervisory/management level and have a postgraduate degree in conservation. The ability to demonstrate active practical conservation experience in an area relevant to the Chester Beatty collections is required as you will also play a key role in object conservation. Knowledge of relevant professional standards, codes of ethics and best practice and relevant Health and safety standards is required. Experience of successfully exploring and developing collaborations with the museum, library, archive and/or academic sectors at a national and international level along with strong collection management system experience is necessary.
As Head of Conservation, you will manage the conservation studio along with line managing the conservation team, budget responsibility & object conservation.

HR & Pensions Administrator
Permanent | Chester Beatty – Dublin City | €27,882
As HR & Pension Administrator, you will join Chester Beatty, one of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions located in the heart of Dublin City. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide administrative support across all areas of HR such as recruitment and induction/onboarding, training and development, health and wellbeing, processing employees’ requests and queries, and assisting with developing HR policies and procedures. You will also assist with the administration of Chester Beatty’s pension schemes, to ensure compliance and timely reporting and provision in this area.
As the successful candidate you will ideally have recent relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in a HR or pensions related area along with a minimum of a NFQ qualification or equivalent in a subject relevant to HR or pensions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively within a small team is essential. You will also have proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite along with a willingness to learn new systems and acquire new skills. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines is necessary. Knowledge and/or experience if the Irish Public Secor and Irish language is desirable but not essential. Membership of the CIPD and/or an achievement of, or studying a HR and/or pension related qualification is advantageous.

Education Officer

As Education Officer, you will join the Chester Beatty, one of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions located in the heart of Dublin City. The Education Department at the Chester Beatty delivers a quality service for audiences including schools, adult learners, children, families, and teens as well as adults living with dementia, LGBTQ+ communities, lifelong learners and community partners. As Education Officer you will play a critical role within the museum’s Education Team working collaboratively with the Head of Education and Education Officer to ensure the team meets the remit to deliver learning and engagement, public programming, learning resources and services at the Chester Beatty, Dublin Castle.
As the successful candidate, you will ideally have a relevant third level qualification and recent relevant experience with at least 2 years’ experience working in one or more of the following areas: Museum Education, Heritage Education, Public History, Public/Community Arts. If you do not have the relevant qualifications, 5+ years relevant experience is sufficed. Experience of developing programmes, projects and learning resources, both online and onsite, within a museum, arts or heritage organisation, for schools, diverse communities, adults, third-level students and other audiences along with experience of working collaboratively with a range of both internal & external partners is required. Knowledge of primary and post-primary curricula and the ability to develop appropriate learning resources including object-based learning is necessary. Strong IT skills including MS Suite proficiency is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders. A keen eye for detail along with strong organisational, presentation and project management skills are required for this role.
