One of Ireland’s National Cultural Institutions, the Chester Beatty is a public charitable trust established under the will of the late Sir Alfred Chester Beatty and is governed by a Board of Trustees. Employees are employed by the Trustees of the museum, but as CB is just over 80% funded by the epartment of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, it is also a registered Public Sector Body.
